ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

DTLR brings the Nike x Class Trip x University of Georgia x Outkast capsule to the center of Atlanta today with a public shopping experience at The Loop. The event runs from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 30, at 665 Marietta St. NW. It takes place ahead of Saturday’s Georgia-Florida game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the first time the rivalry is played in Atlanta.

JID is listed for a separate, invitation-only event at The Loop later tonight. The evening gathering is distinct from the public shopping experience, and its listing schedules JID for an appearance from 10:30 to 10:45 p.m.

The event weekend also connects the capsule to the 30th anniversary of Outkast’s ATLiens. Together, the collection, the album milestone and the football game bring Atlanta music and college sports into the same citywide conversation.

Today’s Public Shopping Experience

DTLR’s afternoon event gives visitors a chance to shop the Georgia x Outkast apparel collection and take part in on-site customization. The announcement from We Speak Media says the experience is open to the public and does not require an RSVP.

The shopping event is scheduled for 2–6 p.m. at The Loop, 665 Marietta St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30313. The announcement mentions special guest appearances but does not name the guests. JID appears on a separate listing for the evening event, not the afternoon shopping hours.

The evening event listing describes an invitation-only celebration beginning at 8 p.m. and running until midnight. It lists JID for a 10:30–10:45 p.m. appearance and says entry requires RSVP and guest-list confirmation. The two events share a venue and date, but the afternoon shopping experience and evening gathering have different access details.

What’s in the Georgia x Outkast Collection

Nike describes the project as a limited-edition apparel and on-field collection created with the University of Georgia and Class Trip. The apparel range includes football jerseys, a varsity jacket, rugby shirts, a satin bomber, a fleece hoodie, graphic T-shirts and headwear.

Design details bring the two partners’ identities together. Nike’s newsroom says the collection combines Georgia’s “G” with Outkast’s signature crown and includes graphics inspired by the duo’s music and visual history. The number 96 appears on the jerseys, marking the year ATLiens was released.

DTLR’s online listing features a Nike UGA Outkast Tee with a crowned Georgia Bulldogs logo, Outkast lettering and a Nike Swoosh. The product page gives a listed price of $45. Availability and sizes can change, so shoppers can check DTLR's product listing for current details.

Today’s gathering serves as a local Atlanta moment for the capsule during game weekend. It is not the first release date: Nike’s newsroom states that the collection’s rollout began earlier in the week, with releases through SNKRS, Class Trip and select Nike retail partners, followed by a wider release on Nike.com and at select retailers.

The Georgia Air Force 1 Is Separate

The Georgia Bulldogs Air Force 1 Low is another Nike release timed around the rivalry weekend, but it is not part of the Outkast-branded apparel capsule. The shoe, style number JF5457-600, belongs to Nike’s NCAA pack.

According to SneakerNews and Nice Kicks, the Air Force 1 released October 29 with a listed retail price of $125. The distinction is useful for fans following both releases: Outkast branding appears on the apparel collaboration, while the Air Force 1 is a Georgia-themed NCAA shoe.

Georgia-Florida Arrives in Atlanta

On Saturday, October 31, Georgia and Florida meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This marks the first time the rivalry game takes place in Atlanta. The matchup’s shift to the city gives the game weekend an unusual local setting and provides the backdrop for DTLR’s capsule shopping experience.

Nike’s collection connects the game to Atlanta’s music legacy through its Outkast references. It also includes performance and sideline apparel for Georgia athletes, alongside pieces intended for everyday wear. The collaboration places football and music imagery together in a collection timed to one of the rivalry’s most notable location changes.

ATLiens at 30

Outkast released ATLiens in 1996. Its 30th anniversary gives the capsule another point of connection to Atlanta, where the group’s music remains part of the city’s cultural identity. The album year also appears in the collection’s jersey design.

The collaboration brings together two established forms of Southern influence: Georgia football and Atlanta hip-hop. The anniversary context extends the story beyond game-day apparel, while the weekend’s events give fans a chance to engage with the collection locally.
